Summarizing a story that has been years in the making can be frustrating. The work is done, the dream is dreamt, and yet somehow there is still more to do? Now you have to cut down tens of thousands of words worth of story into a pithy pitch? What bewildering sacrilege!
I’ve always found the process of writing some version of a summary to be valuable to my understanding of the story. Let’s work together to craft an exciting blurb, query, or synopsis that will pull a reader or agent into your story.

Blurb: $50
Query: $50
(Blurb + query): $85
Synopsis 1-2 pages: $75
Book Everything: $150
There are many styles of book descriptions/blurbs, but there is only one rule: engage the reader. I like to emphasize clear, concise, and evocative book descriptions that are professional but still represents the author’s voice with the understanding that the magic is in the story.
A blurb/query/synopsis doesn’t need to distill everything that a story is, it just has to WORK.
This is a complete dev/line edit and proofread of a blurb, query, or synopsis (1-2 page) that includes 2-3 rounds of feedback and edits depending on how substantial the changes are.
(Additional rounds start at $10).

Queries require a 1-2 line elevator pitch, but if you just want to workshop pitches for social media posts and promotions, I’m happy to help with that too. Contact for pricing.
Payment in advance (negotiable). My preferred payment method is PayPal.
Note: I am not an industry insider for query letters. But I queried my own debut novel before self-publishing and, after much revision, I received many requests for additional material including for the full manuscript from head literary agents.
